Shepherd by the Sea is a joint Episcopal/Lutheran congregation which has worshipped in this area for more than thirty years. Our adaptable and enthusiastic congregation has coped with a number of site changes in recent years. We are currently worshipping at the Gualala Arts Center in Gualala and the Ohlson House on The Sea Ranch when the Art Center is not available.
We serve God by welcoming all to God's Table. We are an inclusive community in our service to all of God's people and creation.
We worship God following the liturgical traditions of the Lutheran and Episcopal Churches, using a Liturgy that is taken from the Episcopal Church's Book of Common Prayer and the Lutheran Book of Worship.
We enjoy each other's company, and we enjoy visitors and newcomers - at our services, coffee hour, after services, and other fellowship events and times. We contribute to the community by providing volunteer staff to manage the monthly local Food Bank distribution.
